"I prefer to draw with pencil, pen and color markers. The drawings below are a small selection from a recent series. I've made these works during the Lockdown2020. They reflect loneliness and hope during the lockdown. It made me happy to use elements of nature in the drawings. The quieter the environment around me, the more color I use.
The works on my website will change regularly."

Jennifer De Plu's work does not immediately reveal itself and her titles are not magic formulas that reveal the secret ingredients of her art. Some drawings have a fairytale-like feel, others are strictly demarcated with powerful lines, as if the artist wants to protect her inner world against uninvited intruders. For example, the soft pastel shades of “Brothel on Wheels” have their own exotic charm, while “Air Traffic” appears rather threatening and gloomy in an apocalyptic structure and atmosphere.
